World Heritage of Japanese Properties on the Tentative List
There are three categories of tangible real properties defined by the Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage. Monuments, groups of buildings and sites are referred to as “Cultural Heritages,” natural features, geological and physiological formations, and natural sites as “Natural Heritages,” and sites that combine the qualities of both Cultural Heritages and Natural Heritages as “Mixed Properties.”
