In 2025, the Osaka World Expo will be held in the Kansai region. In the lead up to that big event, anyone aspiring to work, study or live in an international setting should build communication skills to successfully express oneself by making use of every opportunity to learn about other cultures, and understand and respect culture differences. Experience Japanese culture and share your thoughts with high school students of Ikaruga through this program.
You will be given a unique opportunity to exchange ideas about Japanese culture by exploring cultural properties in Horyuji Temple, Japan’s first World Heritage Site, in the company of local high school students.

10:30 Orientation:Horyuji infomation center
10:45 – 12:00 Lecture:
  – Presentation of the characteristic of Japanese culture using a few
   easy-to-understand key words.
12:00 Lunch Break
13:00 – 15:30 “Cultural Discovery” guided tour
  – Experience Japanese culture on a walking tour through Horyuji Temple
   with a local guide.
15:30 – 17:00 Workshop: “What is the attraction of Horyuji temple?”
  – Exchange students and local high school students will discuss the “Attraction of   
   Ikaruga” through the things they learned or experienced on the tour and present     the results of such discussion.

     
   

  
Photographs will be taken for the purpose of reporting to the KODOMO YUME FUND. The submitted personal information (photographs) will not be used for the purpose of Children's Dream Fund grant operations.
 
    

Eligibility: International students enrolled in university in Japan(University student, Graduate student, Professhonal school student)(program is primarily conducted in Japanese with English assistance)
Participants: 15 people (first-come, first-serve basis)
